Lake Shore high school’s softball team has been continuously training over the past few months. Lake Shore played against Marine City on May 6th, 2022.

“I predicted that we would try our hardest in the game vs. Marine City, we hadn’t won a conference game yet, but I could tell the team was coming along as we had been making progress with each game,” says Ava Kersanty, a freshman on Lake Shore’s softball team. Marine City put up a good game, there was cheering in the crowd as well as on the field. The team kept a good attitude throughout the entire game.

“I think that our attitude and focus helped us win the game,” Kersanty adds. As the saying goes, teamwork makes the dream work. With teamwork and dedication, the team won the game with a score of 5-0. They have gone through many changes recently, being limited to an only varsity team and had to do a lot of practicing in order to maintain a progressive team.

“When we play Marine City again, I will look forward to scoring more points and continuing to make no errors,” Kersanty says.

Kersanty keeps her motivation by setting goals for herself and the rest of her team. With more hard work and practice, the softball team continues to grow and improve.
