Cider mills are the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful fall weather and a great family fun activity! As we enter into autumn, Considering the multiple ciders mills around, there has been much controversy on which is the best one.
We shared a survey on our Snapchat stories asking people for their input about which local cider mill is the best and why. Here’s what Shorians think:
The majority of the votes went to Blake’s Orchard and Cider mill, Armada MI.
Based on student responses, Shorians picked this location because it is less crowded and the donuts are better.
Junior, Afredo Caicedo V, says, “The donuts, activities to do, and the size of this location make it the best.”
Junior, Eliana Godin, says, “Blake’s is my favorite, because the smell of apples is just so strong and it’s great. They also have really good hay rides. It’s the only place that I’ve been to pick apples”
Math teacher, Christopher Mantela, says, “Blake’s Big apple, I’ve been taking my kids there since they were little kids, and I’d always put them up in the tree and take a picture with them every year. So I have like 20 years of pictures with the kids in the tree”
The two other least voted options were Yates and Stoney Creek Cider Mill. Some Shorians picked these options because it is the only cider mill they have been to, while others like it because of the tradition of going with their families.
Happy fall, Shorians, and remember to visit your favorite cider mill this fall season.
