A+Glimpse+Into+The+Future%3A+Senior+Plans+Post-Graduation

October was college month for our Senior Shorians! Some seniors were busy this month applying to college.

Vane Rutledge, senior, said, “Either Loyola Chicago or Drexel Philadelphia.”

Whether he chooses to go to either Loyola University Chicago or Drexel University, Rutledge plans on going into Engineering as his career path.

Abigail Finazzo, Senior, said, “My plan is to go to Macomb to take their trade school program, so that lasts for about a semester, and I can be put into an apprenticeship.”

After Finazzo finishes her semester of Macomb Community College’s trade school program, she will be put into an apprenticeship. Finazzo plans on going into the building trades like construction.

Braydon Coursey, a senior, said that he’s going to Calvin University because he finds interest in some of their courses. Coursey is looking forward to a career path in construction.

Natalie Leydet, a senior, said, “I am going to Oakland University and majoring in Journalism. I plan to work for the Oakland Post as well. I am currently trying to figure out and earn scholarships.”

Leydet is on the hunt for scholarships to Oakland University, and she wants to work for the school’s publication to further her experience as a writer.

Leydet also said, “My dream is to move to New York City and work for the New York Times, eventually working up to an editorial position.”

Leydet wants to pursue writing as a career, dreaming of getting an editorial position for the New York Times.

Jose Escobar, a senior, said, ”I want to go to Adrian College.”

Escobar wants to go to Adrian College to major in aerospace engineering because he always liked airplanes since he was little and his father is an engineer.

With that being said, all of our seniors are going down different paths, each and every one of them a step closer to a successful career, and future. Good luck Shorians!
