Hallway Issues

Hallway+Issues

This past year, Lake Shore has been under construction, and part of the construction required a high-traffic hallway to be closed. Closing this part of the building has caused many problems in the hallways.

Sophia Garman, junior, said, “Too many people in the hallways, it’s cramped during passing time.”

It is to the point where if you are not pushing through people, you will be late for class. It also is just really annoying to the students because they have a class to be at and there are kids sitting in the hallway.

Zachary Wauters, senior, said, “Definitely people stopping in the middle of the hallway and just talking to people and not getting out of the way.”

Many students complain that there are also people just stopping in the middle of the hallway and talking, not moving to the side and getting in most people’s way. We could easily rid Lake Shore of this issue if people stood on the side of the halls to talk or went into a classroom to talk.

Wauters said, “…along with people walking super slow.”

Ermal Hodo, senior, added, ”People not moving or not moving with the hallway flow.”

This is another aggravating thing, you’re just trying to get to class and someone is walking like a turtle. It causes the hallways to get packed and cramped, and then that’s when people get pushed or hurt.

There should be something done about this. They can put a piece of tape down the middle of the hall like Kennedy or organize the schedules better.
