As spring break approaches, the anticipation for a refreshing getaway is only growing stronger. For seniors, it’s the perfect opportunity to escape and relax, whether it’s unwinding on a peaceful beach, going on an exciting road trip, or experiencing a cultural adventure.
For Ruby Fetko, spring break is a time to explore new places. This year, he’s headed to Florida for a mix of beach fun and theme park thrills.
He said, “I’m going to Florida to go to Cape Coral, Key West, and then maybe Orlando for a night or two so we can go to Disney or Sea World.”
He’ll be traveling with his girlfriend, Jayda; his sister and her boyfriend; and his parents.
“I chose Florida because I really wanted to go to the ocean, and Disney or SeaWorld have always been on my bucket list,” Fetko said. “I’m most excited to explore a new place in Florida and spend the day in Key West. I’ve heard so much about it, and I can’t wait to experience it firsthand.”
With so much to look forward to, Fetko’s spring break is shaping up to be a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure.
Lauren Maciejewski chose to go a different route, traveling up the west coast.
Maciejewski said, “I am going to fly out to San Francisco, California, then travel up the 101 and leave out of Seattle, Washington. I am going with my awesome Uncle Matt. I chose to go to the West Coast because I have never been to that side of the country, and I wanted to see something other than Florida beaches. I am most excited to see the aquariums there and the Red Wood Forest.”
Her decision to explore the West Coast comes from a desire to see new sights and experience something different. From towering trees to aquariums, this West Coast vacation promises to be a spring break filled with new adventures, cherished memories, and a fresh perspective on travel.
For Emma Clausen, this year’s spring break is a chance to cross a major destination off her bucket list: Paris, France. After already having visited all fifty states, she’s heading to the City of Light with her family, including her mom, dad, and sister.
“We’ve wanted to go back to Europe for a while, and France has always been on our radar. There’s so much to do there, from the culture to the food to the sights. It’s the perfect place for spring break,” said Clausen.
While Clausen’s itinerary includes plenty of sightseeing and exploring, two things top her list of must-see spots: the iconic Eiffel Tower and Disneyland Paris. “I’m most excited to see the Eiffel Tower in person—it’s always been a dream of mine,” Clausen said. “I’m also hoping we’ll have time to visit Disneyland Paris. I’ve heard it’s amazing!”
Paris offers a mix of everything Clausen and her family are looking for. From the stunning architecture to the world-famous landmarks, Clausen’s spring break promises to be a truly memorable experience filled with tons of adventure and family bonding.
Spring break for seniors is all about new adventures and making memories. Whether it’s relaxing on Florida’s beaches, taking a road trip along the West Coast, or exploring the sights of Paris, there’s no shortage of exciting destinations. For seniors, spring break is a chance to get away, try something new, and enjoy time with loved ones. It’s a reminder that no matter your age, there’s always something new to discover and enjoy.
