The Shorain baseball team is gearing up for an exciting season with high hopes and a talented roster ready to make an impact. With key players returning and a few promising new faces, the team is focused on building momentum and improving from last year’s performance. Fans can expect an exciting season filled with players overcoming adversity and challenges.
Some key returners this season for the Shorians are seniors Cameron Whitcher, Steven Likins, Aidan Bennett, Tommy Ahearn, Vance Seamans, Zach Caleca, and Junior Jack Pierce.
Last season, the Shorians also fell short in their league losing to Marine City. The Shorians are looking to bounce back and win it this year.
Senior Aidan Bennett said, “I’m feeling good and confident about districts; we 100% have a chance to win our league and districts and potentially make a run in the playoffs. There are some very good teams in the D2 division, and we could get matched up with them. It will be tough, but we will be okay.”
Senior Steven Likins said,”I think we will bounce back this year and put the belt to everyone in our districts, outside of districts though we have some good competition but if we play our best we have a good chance to go far.”
Likins, and Bennet feel strongly about their varsity baseball team winning districts this year and having a good chance to make it far and be better than last year, knowing they have different competition than last year.
