After six years of waiting, the final movie of the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy has arrived.

Following the loss of the Gamora he once knew in Avengers: Endgame, Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), opens the film by mourning the loss of his beloved.

This moping session is cut short by the arrival of Adam Warlock (Will Poulter), a character new to the MCU. This appearance kicks off the plot of the movie.

Similar to the films that have come before it, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has a great soundtrack that can encapsulate the tone of the film at any time.

One really creative idea this movie shows off is its soundtrack, the music always seems to fit perfectly with the scenes.

The soundtrack balances somber, calm, scary, and hype very well.

The movie showcases a lot of fan-favorite songs like “No Sleep Till Brooklyn” by popular hip-hop/rock band Beastie Boys, ”Creep” (acoustic) by Radiohead, and also ”Come and Get Your Love” by Redbone.”

There were a couple scenes where the music would cut off as soon as Quill took his headphones off, and many feel this as an  idea that is very unique and not a lot of other movies have accomplished anything like it.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has a near-perfect balance between its serious moments and its comedic parts. An example of this is shown in a teaser.

In the video, Quill tries to tell Gamora about the love the two once had for each other, only for her to reject it. This moment is filled with somber, but it is ultimately cut short when it is revealed that the rest of the guardians can hear this conversation.

With a movie that can switch tones so easily, there is never a dull moment throughout its two and a half hour run time. This seems to be a specialty of James Gunn, as this can be seen in movies such as Scooby-Doo, The Suicide Squad (2021), and Peacemaker.

Although Marvel is not known for having amazing fighting scenes, this movie has great choreography in its fights, with genuine martial arts being used rather than superpowers constantly being relied on.

These fights incorporate multiple camera pans and show off a ton of cool shots and it goes to show how creative Gunn can be

With loads of advertising being used to get people talking, one specific kind had caught the fans attention.

Marvel has released multiple types of advertising to generate hype for the movie. These promotions have taken many forms, but the posters have garnered massive attention for their focus around Rocket Racoon.

While the trailers are centered around Quill trying to rekindle his love with a new Gamora, the posters consist of Rocket in different stages of his life.

Posts across most social media platforms have pointed this out, with many of the comments expressing their admiration for the character and how they want him to survive.

The movie uses this to its advantage. Gunn manipulates the audience’s love for the characters, causing a roller coaster of emotions seeing their fan-favorites in all different kinds of situations.

For a franchise known for its comedy, the movie incorporates emotions of every aspect, whether those emotions are gut-wrenching or jovial.

Even though Gunn has announced that this would be the end of the guardians as we know them, the possibility of more movies is still likely.

A lot of fans feel Vol.3 is the best one they have released so far, Vol.2 comes in a close second, and lastly Vol. 1 is given the number 3 spot on the list.

Guardians Of the Galaxy deserves no less than a 8.5/10, this movie is very good but there are also a lot of other movies that are considered better than it.
