Mean Girls Receive Mixed Reviews

Mean Girls Receive Mixed Reviews

The new Mean Girls Musical was out in theaters on January 12, 2024. It retells the story from the original, acclaimed Mean Girls movie with a musical twist, however, it has received mixed reviews since its release.

Mean Girls is a very popular movie around the world. The majority of people like the first and second ones more than this one but everyone is willing to see it still.

There are some new actors in the movie. For example, Aaron Samuels was played by Christopher Brinley. I would say it was planned out, all the same, just with more music and rhythm.

My personal opinion is that it wasn’t as good as the others. I felt like it was more focused on other actors than the main three girls it should have been. It was a more musical movie this time and there were songs in almost every clip. I would still recommend going to see it because people have different opinions, but I wouldn’t be too excited about it.

Ashley Geib said,  “Compared to the Broadway show, the film adaptation was a bit disappointing, as far as the way the music was remade.”

Geib seems to have been okay with the movie and didn’t hate it as much as the rest. It made her disappointed, and it was not what she thought it’d be, but it wasn’t horrible.

Julia Pearl said, “I didn’t know it was based on the musical. If I knew I probably won’t have seen it.”

Pearl doesn’t seem to like musicals very much and didn’t like the movie when she went. According to her quote, they didn’t come out to say it was a musical because they wanted people to be excited and come see it.

Emily Krogulec responded with, “I personally thought the second Mean Girls was better than this one because I am not a big fan of musicals.”

Krogulec seems to be on the same side as everyone else, especially Julia because they both aren’t fans of musical plays.

Movies are always a good way to relax and enjoy some downtime. Everyone has different opinions, but it’s always good to try new things. Mean Girls would be a great movie for you to watch if you like musicals more than regular movies.
