As Lake Shore prepares to enter its final semester of the school year, the seniors are preparing for their last semester as a Shorian.
The final semester of Senior year is always filled with excitement, with events like senior spring break, prom, graduation, and their last summer before leading into college.
Gabby Michaels, senior, said, “I feel sad that this is my last semester. I have gotten close with so many people and I don’t want to leave that all behind. I am sad to let it go but beyond grateful for the people I have met and everything I got to experience. But I know I am going to miss the football games, dances, friends, and all the staff here at Lake Shore.”
Even though saying goodbye is very hard, Michaels is grateful for the friendships and experiences she’s had at Lake Shore. Being a Senior is bittersweet knowing that the high school experience is coming to an end and wanting to make every moment count while trying to achieve certain goals along the way.
Emma Stacy, senior, said, “Before high school ends, I just want to have fun with my friends and finish off the year strong.”
The realization of the little time left in high school makes people want to be as present as possible at the moment and make memories with their friends that will last a lifetime.
Lillian Michael, senior, said, “The thing that I am looking forward to most in the last semester of my senior year is spring break with my friend Grace and going to prom with all my friends.”
The final semester of senior year at Lake Shore is a time of reflection, excitement, and bittersweet goodbyes. While seniors like Michaels, Stacy, and Michael cherish the experiences and friendships they’ve made, they are also eager to make the most of their remaining time. Within all the activities, the memories created in these last few months will stay with them as they step into the next chapter of their lives.
