The Christmas season has officially started here at Lake Shore. Many of the students and teachers have already started their Christmas lists. Lake Shore is full of many Shorians of different ages who all want different things. So, what are the Shorian’s top Christmas list gifts?
Out of all the Shorians, Apple products are the most wanted gift.
Abby Smith, freshman, answered what was the number one thing on her Christmas list with, “Definitely Airpod pros.”
Isabelle Deriemaker, sophomore, had the same answer as well.
Megan Sweeney, sophomore, said, “The number one thing on my Christmas list is an Ipad. I’ve always wanted one and hope to get one this year.”
Sweeney also shared a little about her list last year, She said, “I wanted an iPad last year but I also wanted Airpods. I ended up getting Airpods which I’m still grateful for. I’m hoping I get an iPad this Christmas.”
Technology is a huge category when it comes to what people ask for for Christmas each year. Airpods, iPhones, and iPads are super convenient, high-tech, and, although expensive, great gifts to receive.
Among the girls at Lake Shore, many want shoes for Christmas this year. More specifically, Ugg boots.
Lily Smith, freshman, said, “If I had to choose one thing for Christmas I would probably pick a new pair of Uggs.”
She’s not the only one. Many Shorians love Uggs. Uggs were also popular as a Christmas list item last holiday season. While the girls want Uggs, guys want shoes too.
Ben Jaynes, Sophomore, and Dale Edge, Junior, both said, “My number one thing on my Christmas list is just a new pair of shoes.”
Shoes are a great Christmas gift but can be quite pricey depending on what shoes you’re looking to get.
Pets were also a big hit among the Shorians.
Izzi Gabow, sophomore, said, “ for Christmas, I would like to get a baby dachshund, they’re the cutest.” That was just one of the many mentioned. Pets are forever popular Christmas gifts with throughout the years being a top 10 gift for all ages and very popular throughout the grades at Lake Shore.
Now we had some of our older Shorians being upperclassmen, or soon to be, and staff saying vehicles, which are another timeless present.
Leslie Houston, hall monitor, said “ Oh, well, my dream is a Mercedes Benz but the older kind I would love for my husband to get me but it’s just a dream.”
Leslie wasn’t the only one who wanted a car and thought it was an unrealistic goal. We had two other students mention getting cars but not think they will get it. Owen Jones, sophomore, said “ I really want a car I want to get food whenever I want.” Cars might be a pricey gift but can be very beneficial for high school students getting to and from school and after-school events very easily.
Some Shorians wanted some unique things that they only mentioned.
Makiya Withers, the freshman, said, “I would love Tyler, The Creator tickets. I love his new album.” Concert tickets are a great gift for that one “big gift.”
Christopher Gwozdz, science teacher, said, “ Just some nice new golf clubs”
Sports equipment are great gifts for Christmas being fairly affordable and great presents within the high school students.
Christmas lists and what the public wants differ tremendously each year. New trends, new brand releases, and new ideas all influence what people ask for each holiday season. It was exciting to see what kinds of gifts the Shorians are asking for this year. Merry Christmas, Shorians!
