Rock of Ages is a jukebox musical set in the 1980s that celebrates rock music from that time, taking place on Sunset Strip, following Drew and Sherrie as they try to save their favorite club from developers, featuring the live band, Morbid Massacre, playing as the fictional band, Arsenal.
A jukebox musical is a stage musical or musical film where most of the songs are pre-existing songs inserted into the musical. Rock of Ages utilizes many popular Bands from that decade, like Styx, Journey, Bon Jovi and many more.
“There were songs that I had to learn specifically for the musical,” said Donovan Ripari, senior and lead singer of Morbid Massacre.
