Lake Shore High School rolled out the red carpet for this year’s Homecoming, A Night in Hollywood. The week was filled with school spirit, creativity, and excitement as students, staff and the community came together to celebrate.
The hallway decorating competition took place on Sunday, October 12. Each class designed its assigned hallway to fit the Hollywood theme, using stars, lights, and movie decorations to make the school shine. The competition led to a tie between the sophomores and seniors. The hallways brought the theme to life and set the tone for the rest of the week.
Students showed off their school pride throughout Spirit Week, dressing up for each theme and filling the building with energy. The excitement continued into the annual Homecoming parade, where floats built by each class, Kennedy Middle School, North Lake High School, and the elementary schools made their way through the streets. The Lake Shore Marching Band and Cheer Team joined in, helping make the parade a highlight of the week.
Friday night’s Homecoming game against Cousino High School brought out students, staff, and families to support the Lake Shore football team. The stands were full of red as the Shorians took the field. Although Lake Shore fell short in the game, the crowd stayed positive and continued to cheer until the end.
The celebration wrapped up on Saturday, October 18, with the Homecoming dance. The gymnasium was decorated to match the A Night in Hollywood theme, complete with bright lights and red carpet details. Students spent the night dancing, taking pictures, and enjoying the end of a memorable week.
Homecoming 2025 was filled with school pride, creativity, and lasting memories. Even with a tough loss on the field, Lake Shore proved once again that the Shorian spirit always shines bright.
