Exams are a big part of the school year, and many students have strong feelings about them. For some, exams are stressful and make them nervous or anxious. Others see exams as a chance to show what they have learned.
Many students worry about pressure from grades and expectations. Long hours of studying can be tiring, and some students feel overwhelmed. Junior Madison Payton said that she feels horrible about the upcoming exams, and said, “I’m worried about Algebra 2 because I’m worried it’ll be hard.’’
However, not all students feel negative about exams. Some feel motivated and proud when they do well. Another student, senior Evan Selbmann, said, “I’m chillin’ with the exams,” and he plans on studying, showing that even with exams right around the corner, it does not stress him out.
Junior Malon Hargrove said, “I’m way too tired to take the exam.” This shows that not everyone is ready for exams.
Exam prep can be stressful for many students. They often spend a lot of time revising and worrying about doing well. Some students feel more confident the more they prepare. Sophomore Chloe Jenkins said, “I feel fine about exams …I’m not studying right now, but I’m going to start soon.” Even though she feels good about the exams, she will still spend time practicing to ensure she does her best.
In conclusion, students have different feelings about exams. Some feel stressed, while others feel calm and confident. Although exams can be challenging, preparing for them can help students perform their best.
