It’s that time of year again when the school year is coming to a close, we’re all looking forward to summer, and of course, our seniors will bid us farewell, celebrate finishing their education and look toward their futures. This time also comes with the inevitable senior advice article where we tell you what parting knowledge the seniors have to share.
Learning about someone’s past experience with high school, good or bad, can help you figure out what you want to do with your own. You can learn from their experiences so you can make great memories and achieve great things, as they did, or avoid having the same regrets they did.
Gracie Thornton said, “I regret not getting into a lot of extra activities, but I accomplished NHS and passing.”
Leo Louwers said, “It’s been so fun doing theater, that’s been my favorite part of high school. I love it so much. I also really like I’ve taken a lot of art classes, and that’s been so much fun.”
And of course, you’ll want to have some idea of what’s going on before you start, so here are some things you should know going in. “Lock in. That’s all,” said Ellie Mitchener-Rubino.
Donovan Ripari said, “The freedom you get, it’s a lot more open.”
And finally, here is some advice all of the aforementioned seniors have to share.
Leo said, “Charge your Chromebook every day, and go to your classes.”
Donovan said, “If you’re nice to the teachers and you respect them, it’ll help you out so much.”
Gracie said, “Focus on school and not each other.”
Ellie said, “Stay focused on your work, get involved with things, try things because you never know what you might like.”
Good luck to all our seniors!
