Under the bright lights, the Lake Shore soccer team takes the field and plays every game like it’s their last.
Charley Mclntyre, senior, says her goals going into this soccer season “is to get ready for college coming up and to work to get better on certain things in game.”
After high school, Mclntyre said, “I am committed to play at the D2 level at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.”
Mclntyre’s favorite thing about being on the team is being able to play with her friends and grow with the team. Throughout high school, Mclntyre has scored multiple hat tricks and has had a couple of games where she has scored 4 goals in a game.
Bella Salkowski, senior, said her goal going into the season “is to stay positive and create lasting senior memories of my soccer team/ teammates.”
Salkowski would like to play college soccer at Saint Clair Community College after her high school career is over.
Salkowski’s favorite thing about being on the team “is learning from my peers and getting better every day and making new friendships every year.”
The two teammates who push her the hardest are junior Megan Sweeney and senior Carly Best because they always stay positive and always make an effort to support their teammates, whether they are playing or not.
Best is another senior player. Her goals going into this season were to improve as a player and teammate. Best doesn’t want to play after high school. Best’s favorite thing about being on the team is the Jimmy John’s she gets.
As the Shorian Girls soccer team continues on with their season, we hope all the girls can reach their goals and more.
