Glittering gowns, sharp suits, and the buzz of excitement filled the air as Lake Shore High School’s class of ‘25 are stepping into an unforgettable night of dancing, laughter, and memories at this year’s prom. Bringing together friends and classmates for one last dazzling event before graduation.
The Great-Gatsby-themed prom is being hosted at the San Marino Club. Doors open at 7, and guests should expect a fun-filled night of dinner and dancing.
Some students look forward to getting all dressed up or going to the after-party
“I’m excited to get my hair done and get ready with all my girlfriends. I enjoy this year’s theme. The Great-Gatsby is one of my favorite movies, and now it’s my prom theme. I hope it lives up to the hype. I’m more excited about the after party and one last night with my friends,” Senior Maris Rutledge said.
Prom is the send-off for seniors. It involves putting on your best suits and dresses, getting together with your friends, and having fun.
“I’m honestly excited but sad at the same time, it’s hitting me like damn… it’s my last high school dance with everyone. Sooner or later, we will all have our own lives and careers. Crazy to see how fast time flies…” Senior Aidan Bennett said.
Senior Cameron Witcher said, “Being a senior can come quicker than you know. I remember my freshman year homecoming dance like it was yesterday, and it’s crazy to think I’m having my last high school dance in two weeks. It’s all coming so fast. I’m excited to dress up with my friends one last time.”
With the year coming to an end, most seniors look forward to prom if not all. The excitement of dressing up, taking nice cars, limos, and party buses to prom. Some people love the pictures and others the dancing. In the end, they are all there for the same reason. One last dance.
Now, the big question everyone is asking is: Who will be prom king and queen?
