The Goodfellows Food Drive is happening at Lake Shore High School, where students can donate their canned goods and non-perishable items to the boxes located inside classrooms. All food items must be unexpired canned goods or non-perishables.
These foods consist of the following.
- Canned fruits and vegetables
- Canned soups
- Canned beans and refried beans
- Dried fruits
- Foods that do not require refrigeration.
There is a contest between the 2nd-hour classes to see which one can bring the most food before November 21st. The class that brings the most food wins either a bagel or a donut party. The Goodfellows are a local group of volunteers whose mission is to make sure struggling families can have something to eat.
Make sure to donate any excess food you have to your 2nd-hour class, not only to help those who are less fortunate, but also to win a donut party for your class.
