This is the premiere episode of the Name Five Songs Podcast, written and recorded by me, Nick Bommarito. In this episode, I go over the Singles Soundtrack, which pulls from the early to mid 90’s Seattle Grunge scene. This episode features bands Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Chris Cornell, Jimi Hendrix and the Screaming Trees. All of the song choices foreshadow the romance aspect of the film Singles, which helps give the album a cohesivity. This all comes with the fact that its set mostly within the same scene, which makes it feel like a movie made for Grunge and people who want a peek into the scene.
